Cancellations and Returns
Please note that under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the 14-day cooling-off period (the right to cancel an order for a full refund) does not apply to the sale of perishable goods. This includes all home-baked items sold on this website, as they are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
Order Modifications and Cancellations: Once an order has been placed and production has begun, we are unable to accept cancellations. If you wish to cancel or amend an order before it has been baked/dispatched, please contact us immediately at hello@finnbakesuk.com and we will do our best to accommodate you, though this is at our discretion.
Faulty or Damaged Goods: Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply. If your order arrives damaged, is not as described, or is unfit for consumption, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will offer a replacement or a refund for any items that are found to be faulty.
Allergens
All of our products are prepared in a domestic kitchen that handles the 14 main allergens. While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is 100% free from traces of these allergens.
How to find allergen information:
Online: A full list of ingredients and highlighted allergens is available on each individual product page.
On Delivery: In accordance with UK law, every item is delivered with a full ingredient label, with allergens clearly emphasised).
Severe allergies: If you have a severe or life-threatening allergy, we recommend that you do not consume our products, as we operate from a home kitchen environment where multiple ingredients are handled daily.
Deliveries
We bake to order once per week. Orders placed after the cut-off time will be moved to the following week’s dispatch cycle to ensure maximum freshness.
We ship our fresh bakes via Royal Mail to ensure they arrive as quickly as possible.
Liability for Delays: While we dispatch orders on the agreed date, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by Royal Mail, including strikes, extreme weather, or seasonal backlogs. Because our products are perishable, we recommend ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery on the first attempt.
Failed Delivery / Safe Places: If you have instructed Royal Mail to leave your parcel in a safe place or with a neighbor, our liability for the condition and security of the package ends at the moment of delivery to that location.
Damaged Items: We take great care in packaging our bakes to survive the post. However, if your order arrives in an unsatisfactory condition, please contact us at hello@finnbakesuk.com within 24 hours of receipt with clear photos of the packaging and the product so we can arrange a resolution.
